Old Boys Visit Germany

This past October a group of Worcester Rugby old boys and old gals, together with Tim and Kim Biddle and a few West Virginia friends, traveled to Germany. The tourists first stopped in Munich for a few days to experience an authentic Oktoberfest, followed by a few days in Berlin, where the squad met with several players from Dom Gostick’s former German team, the Bembelshenkers old boys RFC, and played in the Berliner RFC veterans tournament (see here for great pictures of the team in action - look for the Stars and Stripes: https://oldboysrugby-altepreussen.de/invitation-to-the-14st-international-heini-cup-for-rugby-veterans-40s-2023/ )

Of the 16 teams playing, Worcester came in tied for 5th. The team was bolstered by our old gal, Jessica Flannery out on the pitch, along with standout performances by Cookie and Solomon, among others. The day of playing was capped fieldside with drinks and an introduction to the internationals present to Iguana Wrestling!
