Worcester Rugby Community goes to Playoffs
After a challenging fall season of wins and loses, Worcester Rugby came out triumphant. The Shamrocks finished the season with three wins and two loses while the mens club finished with four wins and three loses.
Worcester Mens came out strong at the beginning of the season with four strong wins. However they were not as fortunate at the end of their season. Nonetheless they secured a spot in the NERFU D2 men's playoffs. They battled it out against Portland in the first day of playoffs in Newport RI, it was back and forth in the beginning of the match but Portland ran away with it in the end. While it was not the result they wanted, this is just the start of the upward trend we expect to see for seasons to come!
The Shamrocks played a couple of harder games in their fall season and made their way to the second spot in the end. On day one of the playoffs in Newport, RI the Shamrocks had a slow start against Burlington, after a halftime team talk and a few subs the game turned around for the Shamrocks and walked away with a win. Securing a spot to play the next weekend against Albany for the NERFU D2 Women's Championship.
